Tammy Biggers has owned Camp K-9 Resort for over 18 years. After graduating from SUNY Fredonia and spending 8 years in an office setting I realized my love for dogs was more important than the career path I was on. So I attended The Tom Rose School for dog trainers in 1999 and became a dog trainer. After graduating there I became involved in the APDT (Associated Pet Dog Trainers). This led me to using positive training methods in my teachings. While traveling to seminars for training I got interested in doggie daycare and boarding of dogs. This was my true passion and started my business training and taking care of dogs while owners are out of town. I pride myself in providing an environment different than most other boarding facilities. Camp K-9 is like your own home with lots of other dogs running around and sharing the same space. I like that dogs run free and sleep on futons freely not in cages and kennels. I have 3 dogs of my own. B, a flat coat retriever, Tippie her daughter and Tiki a Pomeranian, Maltese mix. They get to share their home with many fosters I take in trying to help when we can. Enjoy a

I can’t believe I’ve been working at Camp K9 for over 10 years! How the time flies when you’re busy and having fun! Still loving all the pups and it’s been so much fun watching many of them grow up over the years. I’m also a foster coordinator and volunteer for the Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte, which I very much enjoy. My husband Scott and I like traveling and especially love the Outer Banks and try to get there at least once a year with our dog Merlin.
Angel
I love camp because camp kids are less crazy than my kids and it keeps me sane!! Just kidding (well maybe). I live in York with my fiancé and our 6 kids. YES SIX KIDS. Before coming to Camp K9 my job was in senior care. I really enjoyed senior care, it was a rewarding job, however it was also a very emotionaly draining job. I decided maybe to look for something else when I saw Camp K9 was hiring. I thought this job would be perfect because as you very well know our K-9 friends bring us so much joy, make the day less stressful, and always can make us smile. After a year at Camp I love this job just as much as or more than the day I started.

I work a full-time desk job during the week so Camp K-9 Resort is the perfect place for me to be on the weekends. It keeps me active and I enjoy the time I get to spend with the dogs as I have none of my own. My cat is an only child and likes it that way.
Olivia
I have been working at Camp for over 2 years.

My name is Hailey. I have always loved animals so when I heard about Camp K-9 and I knew it was the job for me. I have been working at Camp since February 2021. This is my first job and I absolutely love working at Camp. I love taking care of the dogs and getting to know the new dogs and learning new things. When I am not working I am home playing with Atlas my puppy or shopping with my sister.

I started working at Camp K-9 Resort in 2020 when I was 17. It is my first job and I am so thankful to have this opportunity. I am doing full time online classes for vet tech and working full time at Camp. I absolutely love all the camp dogs, they are like family. I recently got a puppy (pickles) she is a bit crazy but fits in at camp very well. She loves her camp friends as do I. Just to clear the confusion, yes I am Angel’s daughter. Definitely not twins, don’t boost her ego too much. All jokes aside I really love this job!
