Tammy Biggers has owned Camp K-9 Resort for over 18 years. After graduating from SUNY Fredonia and spending 8 years in an office setting I realized my love for dogs was more important than the career path I was on. So I attended The Tom Rose School for dog trainers in 1999 and became a dog trainer. After graduating there I became involved in the APDT (Associated Pet Dog Trainers). This led me to using positive training methods in my teachings. While traveling to seminars for training I got interested in doggie daycare and boarding of dogs. This was my true passion and started my business training and taking care of dogs while owners are out of town. I pride myself in providing an environment different than most other boarding facilities. Camp K-9 is like your own home with lots of other dogs running around and sharing the same space. I like that dogs run free and sleep on futons freely not in cages and kennels. I have 3 dogs of my own. B, a flat coat retriever, Tippie her daughter and Tiki a Pomeranian, Maltese mix. They get to share their home with many fosters I take in trying to help when we can. Enjoy a

I can’t believe I’ve been working at Camp K9 for over 10 years! How the time flies when you’re busy and having fun! Still loving all the pups and it’s been so much fun watching many of them grow up over the years. I’m also a foster coordinator and volunteer for the Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte, which I very much enjoy. My husband Scott and I like traveling and especially love the Outer Banks and try to get there at least once a year with our dog Merlin.
My name is Meg and I have had a love for animals since I was a young girl. I helped with my late grandmother’s animal sitting service as a child, and as I grew older this extended to me volunteering with local and state humane societies wherever I lived. When the chance to work here presented itself I was overjoyed to be part of this team. I’ve grown so much here learning more every day when taking care of all the dogs, and blessed I get to love on so many wonderful animals. I currently reside in Tega Cay, SC with my 2 dogs Folly and Evie as well as my cat Boo. When I am not at Camp I like to garden, or go out camping/hiking with my dogs.
I love camp because camp kids are less crazy than my kids and it keeps me sane!! Just kidding (well maybe). I live in York with my fiancé and our 6 kids. YES SIX KIDS. Before coming to Camp K9 my job was in senior care. I really enjoyed senior care, it was a rewarding job, however it was also a very emotionaly draining job. I decided maybe to look for something else when I saw Camp K9 was hiring. I thought this job would be perfect because as you very well know our K-9 friends bring us so much joy, make the day less stressful, and always can make us smile. After a year at Camp I love this job just as much as or more than the day I started.
Hi, I’m Karen, and I live in Rock Hill with my husband, Michael, and our parrot Pico. I started working with dogs at a “no-kill” dog shelter when we lived in Austin, Texas and I loved it! So when we moved to South Carolina I knew I wanted to continue working with dogs. Luckily for me Camp K-9 Resort was looking for another dog caretaker just as I began to look for work over 8 years ago. I love taking care of the wide variety of dogs that stay with us and am learning more about dog behavior every day. It’s fun getting to know all the new dogs and wonderful to spend time with “old friends”. I am one of those fortunate people who really love what I do for work! At home I like gardening, sewing, and to go antiquing in my spare time.
I live in Rock Hill and have been with Camp K-9 Resort since July 2017. This is my first job working with dogs. I have learned so much and I love it.
Hi my name is Hannah. I have always had a deep compassion for animals ever since my mom got me my first animal play set when I was younger. I am now in school studying to soon become a certified Vet Tech. I have worked in a couple different dog resorts in the past and have recently starting working at Camp K-9. I love getting to take care of and understand such a large variety of dogs at Camp K-9. When I’m not at work you can find me entertaining and loving on my dogs Mia and Hachi.
